Welcome to the Cornell Club of New Mexico web site!
We're glad you found us. The Cornell Club of New Mexico is a great way to keep in touch with Cornell and Cornell alumni in the area. We use this site to inform alumni about our club, share ideas, and organize events and activities. Please use the links at the top of the page to browse through the site. We hope you find it fun and informative.
Are you interested in becoming a CAAAN member?
CAAAN is the Cornell Alumni Admissions Ambassador Network, a group of over 5,000 alumni volunteers who assist the Cornell admissions community in identifying and attracting undergraduate applicants. CAAAN members are involved in a variety of activities, the biggest of which is contacting local candidates who have submitted their application. The purpose of the contact meetings are to answer questions, provide a positive and personal perspective on the University as well as accumulate additional information about the applicant. Other activities for CAAAN members include representing Cornell at college fairs, conducting book award programs, and hosting receptions.
Northern New Mexico CAAAN, which includes the city of Albuquerque, is up and running again. Our new Co-chairs are Tom Steiner and Anita Miller. Our Southern New Mexico CAAAN Chair is Armand Velez. We are seeking alumni to join our team of volunteers. Of special interest to us are recently graduated alumni who can offer a current perspective on life at Cornell.
If you are interested in becoming a CAAAN representative or have questions, please contact Tom at tsteiner110@comcast.net, Anita at milleranit@aol.com, or Armand at avelez@da.state.nm.us
